Boynton Canyon Trail - Sedona

Back to Sedona! We always seem to head north for hiking until it stays cooler here in the valley. We picked Boynton Canyon for the beauty of the area and the formations. Unfortunately they've built a huge, expensive resort right along the first mile of the trail and this takes away some of the pleasure of hiking, but once you get past that it's the usual scenic beauty you expect. No, we didn't take the side loop to the vortex.

The end of the trail, at least for now. There's a sign to go no further so the area can heal

It was hard to get a decent shot of him because he kept moving around and screaming
