Rogers Trough Trail 12/28/2011

Ah, that need for "new smell in the nose". This can only mean one thing; George gets to drive on some dirt roads, preferably steep and bumpy, that will end at a trailhead leading to who knows what.

Rogers Trough Trail meets all these.
First there is the hour drive to the first dirt road, then the turn off to the less maintained dirt road, which eventually led to a very nice 4-wheel drive portion up to the trailhead.
Then the 8 mile round trip hike, and more bouncing along those lovely dirt roads to get out.
At least this time I did not have to roll boulders off the road so we could get clearance. Yeah for me

Not too much is left of the structures down below

After admiring the remaining ruins and taking in the views it was time to hike out and go home.
