It was a rather hot day in the valley so we decided to head up to Sedona and hike to Vultee Arch.
It was named for Gerald Vultee. He was an aviation pioneer whose plane crashed near here in 1938 killing him and his wife Sylvia.
The trail itself is only a couple miles long but since it's in Sedona the area is beautiful.
Plus you have to bounce down dirt roads to get there and that's always fun.
Just a beautiful red rock formation
This area is part of the Secret Mountain Wilderness

While we were there some kids walked out on the arch. This one started playing his flute
