Vulture Mine

The Vulture Mine is just a little south of Wickenburg, AZ.

It's named after Henry Wickenburg who started mining the gold in 1863.

The mine was very a good producer until 1942 when it was closed by Presidential Decree to free up resources for the war.

Today it is owned by a private concern and not active.

Unfortunately the buildings and all the history are being lost.
